Tim

I am a qualified teacher with over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher. I have recently had experience of tutoring online and face to face with students of all ages (from reception to retirement).
During my time as a teacher I have worked with students from a huge range of backgrounds and with a huge range of abilities both in the classroom and in small groups. This has included working with children on the Special Needs register, including working with children with dyspraxic tendencies, dyslexia and, in particular, children with conditions related to Autism. I have huge personal experience with Children on the Autistic spectrum and have worked with groups ouside the school environment as well.
I have prepared children at KS1 and KS2 for their SATs exams and have invigilated in exams at both age ranges.
As well as having many years of experience as a Maths, Science and English teacher, I have also taught and co-ordinated the teaching of Music, Drama, French, Computing, Art and Design & Technology as well as being involved in the planning and teaching of all of the other Primary Curriculum subjects.
With older students I have been able to focus on English and History.
I am also heavily involved in Music in the community. I have been Chairman of LOPs Musical Theatre for a number of years and have played with Wigston Brass Bands for nearly fifteen years. I have also been involved with various other choirs and Musical Theatre groups and I have experience of preparing children for drama and musical performances in various venues around the country.
