I am a qualified teacher with over 12 years teaching experience. I have taught the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum and delivered and managed Animal Science BTEC programmes and lectured in Zoology and Conservation at both bachelor’s and master’s degree level . Having most recently taught in KS2, I have a thorough understanding of the national curriculum and am able to tutor across all of the subjects, including English, math, science and reading.
I am able to cater specifically to a student’s needs, whether that be helping them to understand a topic or concept they find particularly challenging, building their confidence or stretching and challenging them. If required, I can also support in developing exam techniques, when preparing for SATS and/or other assessments.
I feel I am able to build rapport quickly and will use lots of praise to help students feel supported and confident in their ability to move forward with their learning.
