Hi my name is Fadima I am an experienced science teacher with 3 years qualified teaching experience and 5 years tutoring experience. I am an experienced tutor who has taught GCSE science (all 3 subjects) and Maths both foundation and higher and has tutored A level Chemistry and A level Biology over 5 years. My degree is in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and I graduated from University of Leicester. I completed my teacher training in Kings College London. I have taught and am familiar with exam boards AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I am a patient and firm teacher who enjoys her job. My teaching style adapts to the way student learns best I cater for every type of student, those that are good visual learners those that excel better in lecture style etc. However I put heavy importance on exam question practice because the key in excelling in science subjects is understanding what the question is asking you. I make sure my students have lots of practice with exam questions and going over exam terminology. I make sure to implement exam questions in my lessons and give student confidence in being able to answer questions. My best success stories are students working on for example a C grade in A level Chemistry getting a A. A student who was working on a B grade in A level biology getting a A*. I’ve had students in GCSE Science get Grade 8 ( equivalent of a A).
My hobbies are reading books and football. My style of teaching depends on the student and what works well for them but my philosophy is for students to be independent and giving them the foundations to get the good grades they deserve.
