I have been a qualified Teacher specialising in English for several years. I have been working within both secondary and primary delivering outstanding teaching from key stages 1-4. I have experience of teaching students with ADHD and autism.
I have delivered one to one tuition and whole class teaching. I am able to adapt my tutoring to the students needs and abilities. I support students to increase their skills and learning in English using writing stems, frames, sentence building techniques and sentence starters improving creative writing and exam preparation. I was also lead teacher for thinking Reading problems to increase reading skills to meet set targets and follow programme for decoding, language, phonemic, comprehension and spelling. I also setting short tasks in creative writing giving clear step by step instructions describing tone and atmosphere with characters focus on punctuation, structure and emotive language.
