My name is Lynda and I’ve been a fully qualified teacher since 2004 with a BA in Primary Education (with Hons). I have taught in all year groups and endeavour to maintain the teaching standards at all times. I will plan and tailor my lessons to the specific learning needs of your young person. This can include any learning objectives that may be set out in an individual educational plan or specific areas of learning that need to be focused on. The bespoke lessons I plan and teach will always aim to challenge and extend your young person’s knowledge and understanding. Where necessary I will provide practical activities to help embed an understanding of what is being taught, quite often this can help with mathematics. Formative assessment will provide instant feedback to address any misconceptions your young person may have. I have trained to deliver the Ruth Miskin phonics intervention programme which teaches pupils to read accurately and fluently with good comprehension, to spell correctly and help compose their ideas for writing. I can provide support with revision in preparation for completing SAT papers at the end of the academic year.
