My name is Deepa and I have been teaching KS3 and KS4 for 16 years. My specialism is English but I also teach ESOL and Gujarati GCSE.
I am enthusiastic about children’s progress and attainment and strive to achieve this using a varied teaching style and approach. I have a very successful pass rate with the students that I teach or tutor. During my teaching career I have also worked with students who have EAL and SEND. I have experience of full class teaching, small groups and tailored one to one study support both face to face and online. I am also an examiner with the exam board Pearson’s and OCR.
I am passionate about languages and I speak, read and write Gujarati and Hindi. I also speak Urdu and Panjabi and I am currently learning Chinese!
In my spare time I like to read, cook, garden, crochet, dance salsa and listen to music. I also like to travel and experience different cultures and cuisine.
