My name is Bechem. I have worked in the education sector for 22 + years both abroad and in the UK. Abroad in Cameroon I started working in 1999 as a Primary school Teacher, then as a Headmaster and was an examiner for the First School Leaving Certificate. (FSLC or SAT in the United Kingdom). I specialised in the teaching of both KS1 & KS2 for nearly four years. I later embarked on a journey to train as an KS3 and KS4 teacher where I was teaching as a salaried teacher then doing my PGCE in Cameroon. After completing my PGCE/ DIPES. My DIPES 1 it gave me an added advantage to even teach students at KS5 in Cameroon.
When I relocated to the USA I was teaching History in Calhoun College part time and teaching English Language and Literature online. I taught both special needs and mainstream pupils and students from KS1 TO KS5.
When I moved to the UK I taught Business Studies, Health and Social Care in Leicester International College and Business Management at Leicester Commercial college, I then moved onto agency supply work, I have been working as a supply teacher since 2015 whereby my main focus is to help both mainstream l and special needs students.
I have taught in more than sixty schools in the midlands and know that the alternative to schooling for some children is tutoring. I am an experienced teacher of English Language, Literature and GCSE examiner and centre invigilator for many years. I currently tutor maths for KS1 & KS2 and English for KS3, KS4 and KS5.
I have the following qualifications: DIPES1(PGCE) BEd in teaching, MSC, MA, MA TESOL (QTLS) and Currently PHD research Fellow at Nottingham Trent.
I am available to teach Primary Maths and English for KS1 & KS2, and English Language and Literature for KS3, KS4 & KS5. I also have experience of tutoring KS3, 4 & 5 History, KS4-5 Politics and Geography KS2-4.
I am an affiliate member of BLTA/ UKLTA (British Language Teachers Association) and a member of the Cameroon English Language and Literature Association.
I look forward to working with your children and hope to make a big difference in their lives.
Thanks you
Bechem (TJ)
