My name is Kerry I have been in education for 20 + years. I have always worked in the Northamptonshire/Leicestershire area so I am adept at knowing what local schools are teaching. Tutoring should be an extension of a school day. I have worked in KS1- phonics testing and SATs. KS2- year 6 SATs KS3 and KS4- preparing for English GCSE. I am an experienced teacher of SEN student’s and have found in recent years that more students with a condition are relying on tutoring as a favoured approach to their learning needs, I also have personal knowledge of a child on the autistic spectrum.
I have always enjoyed supporting students to develop their knowledge and skills.
I tutor all primary subject but have a preference for English as I love Literature and the language. I also enjoy the early stages of English with the introduction to reading and writing.
I have a vast skill set and completed my TEFL certificate so I am able to facilitate learning for English as an additional language.
During Covid I also completed my online tutor course so I am able to teach through Zoom or Teams.
