I am a teacher of 20 years and hold a Master’s in Education, PGDE in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor’s Degree in Music and TEFL/TESOL. I have taught in schools both in the UK and overseas, and am experienced in helping children develop their phonics, reading, writing and speaking skills for first and second language speakers. I also support primary and secondary school students with homework and SATS and GCSE examinations in English and Mathematics. In addition, I teach music where I am specialised in woodwind instruments (saxophone, clarinet and recorder) and music theory.
I incorporate strategic learning to suit individual needs and aim to build an enjoyment of learning.
Since I became a private tutor 3 and a half years ago, I have supported students who have special educational needs so that they can pass their exams and keep up with their school work. For those who do not attend school, I have supported them as they work on regaining their confidence and helped to continue providing them with an education. 2024
