KS3 Maths Teacher and Tutor
Hi, my name is Maria and I have been a tutor and teacher for 15 years. I have a wide range of experience having been both a KS2 Primary Teacher and a KS3 Secondary Maths Teacher: teaching Year 3 to Year 8. I have experience of a range of learning needs including dyslexia and dyscalculia as well as challenging greater depth pupils.
During my time as both a tutor and teacher, I have consistently demonstrated my love of learning, my ability to nurture and challenge, simultaneously building self-esteem and self-confidence.
Throughout my career, I have been subject leader for Maths, Science, RE and Collective Worship. My most recent experiences have involved specifically teaching only ‘Greater Depth’ pupils for both Reading and Maths within an ‘Outstanding’ trust of primary schools in Northamptonshire.
Most of my experience of teaching has been in Year 6; therefore, I am fully equipped with the experience and expertise to ensure all pupils fulfil their potential during SATS. Most importantly, I am also very aware of the necessary skills to ensure all pupils become resilient learners as they progress to Secondary School.
I quickly assess areas of focus so that pupils can make progress in a positive learning environment where we can learn from mistakes, challenge ourselves and build self-belief.
