Hi, I’m Alison, a qualified teacher with over 25 years of experience. I have a deep knowledge of the primary curriculum and can support students with all primary subjects.
My specialism is in mathematics, both in the primary phase and in supporting students as they transition into Key Stage 3. I am able to quickly put students at ease and build a rapport, ensuring that they experience success and enjoyment in learning. When tackling new content, I ensure that students build on the knowledge that they already have and will use and adapt a variety of strategies to support and stretch each individual.
It’s really important to me that students are helped to develop their own strategies which allows them to become independent and confident in their learning. This includes different ways in which they can remember and apply key facts and skills.
